The online essentials for birthing in a hospital session is a 2 hours masterclass with half hour discussion designed to provide you with the tools for birth in hospital.
This session will be an interactive, live, online session. Investment £19!
Many of my clients worry about being listened to in hospital as this makes them feel safe. They prepare for birth with their partner as their protector of the birthing environment.
Recently clients have been in early stages of labour or having an induction of labour and without their partners present they have had discussion with me to help them still feel like their partners are there in the room with them. This has helped them in labour feel safe and secure so that birth progressed with a couple giving birth before the partner arrived.
With many home birth services being cancelled and birth centres having their use to become Covid-19 specialist birth rooms. Many women are being asked to birth on the main wards where it does not have then low tech feel. For many of my clients seeing all this equipment does not put their minds at ease, instead this sets alarm bells ringing and set of the limbic system in the body.
My clients have discussed over the past 5.5years how they can achieve a midwife lead birth on a consultant lead ward. Many have been able to negotiate ‘home from home’ and ‘midwife lead’ within the highly medicalised wards designed for women who have known medical conditions.
Feeling emotionally in control of where you birth your baby is key to you feeling, calm and relaxed, safe and secure. Trusting your medical team has your best interest at heart. Also helps your mind and body to emotionally let go to birth you baby peacefully.
The aim of this master class is to give you tools and techniques that will enable you to feel safe and secure in any environment. With how to, practical ways to still feel connected with your partner, when they cannot be with you, due to the safety guidelines to reduce Covid-19.
Evidence based information to be able to base your decisions on and what things can be done to help you feel emotionally safe when birthing your baby.
For some ongoing support can help them to feel safe and secure knowing that they can contact myself or other expectant mothers who are experiencing these unprecedented times together giving you that connection you would get from a antenatal group. I am able to provide a safe space for you and this will have other live sessions and Facebook lives weekly.
I totally understand that not every couple can afford a full antenatal programme so I am putting together a number of master classes so that you can access education in bite size chunks. With 7 plus years of delivering remote courses for the Open University as an Associate Lecturer I have used my knowledge and skills to enable you to access this from the comfort of your own home. If you have a topic you would like a master class on please ask as I will be happy to accommodate your requests.
